Overview
What it is
An open source agent that runs as a VS Code extension or CLI. It plans, edits files and runs commands with your approval, and connects to many model providers or MCP servers.
Who it is for
Developers who want an agent in VS Code but want to choose and pay for the model directly.
Hands-on test
Not run yet
We have not run Cline on our test box yet. It needs a login, a paid plan or a browser session we do not have set up, and we will not guess at results. Everything on this page comes from the official site and pricing page, checked on 15 October 2026. There is no score until we run the standard Godot 4 test.
Engines
Engine compatibility
Only engines we ran the tool with are marked as tested. Everything else says not tested yet, even where the vendor claims support.
| Engine | Status |

| Godot | Not tested yet |

Pricing
What it costs

Prices change often. Check the vendor page before you buy.
Pros and cons
Good
- No subscription
- Supports MCP servers, including Godot MCP
Watch out
- Costs depend on your model and are easy to run up on long tasks
- Needs a model key for a real test, which is why ours is queued
