CJM Toolbench 10 tools October 2026
AI tools,
actually run
A short list of AI tools for vibe coding, agents and game dev. If a page says CJM Tested, we installed the tool and ran it against the same Godot 4 prompt, then checked the result in the engine. If we could not run it yet, the page says so.

The bench
The first ten
Filter by what the tool does or by the engine we tested it with. Engine filters only match tools we have run in that engine, so for now that is Godot.

Method
One prompt, one engine
Every coding tool gets the same request: write a Godot 4 platformer player script. We load the file into a headless Godot 4.5 harness, drop the player above a floor, hold right for a second and check that it lands and moves. Engine errors go back to the tool for up to two fix rounds.
Scores are out of 10 on five things: setup, output, speed, value and game-dev fit. Tools we could not run get no score.
